Western Dinner, using ONLY Turbo Roaster

The last post on the Advantage of Owning a Turbo Roaster, it was cover what is the difference for air fryer and turbo roaster and the advantage of owning a turbo roaster. 

In this post, 3 western recipe will be provided, which are cordon bleu chicken, mac & cheese and french fries, which will all be cooked using only a turbo roaster.


Cordon Bleu Chicken

What we need:

  • Chicken Breast/ Chicken Thigh (boneless) x 4
  • Thinly Slices of Ham (4-8 Slices- Depending on the length of each slice)
  • Cheese Slices - Swiss Cheese (if you don't have Swiss Cheese, any other type will do)
  • A Pinch of Salt
  • A Pinch of Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of Onion Powder
  • 1 Cup of All-Purpose Flour (125g)
  • 2 Large Eggs, Beaten
  • 2 Cups of Bread Crumbs (100g)


1. Sprinkle all the chicken with the following ingredients:....., and toss/ turn it to coat them evenly.

  • A Pinch of Salt
  • A Pinch of Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of Onion Powder


2. On a cutting board, wrap a chicken in plastic wrap/ aluminum foil and hammer/ pound the chicken till it is about 1-2cm thick with a meat mallet/ rolling pin/ heavy pan/ normal mallet. Repeat the step for all the chicken.

3. Once you have flatted all the chicken, place the chicken and top it with 1 layer of slice cheese, 1 layer of ham and another layer of sliced cheese. (if you would like it more cheesy, place 2 layer on cheese before placing the ham)

4. Roll the chicken as seen above and wrap the chicken individually in plastic wrap/ aluminum foil. Use the side to tighten it to make sure the chicken roll into shape. 

5. Place all your wrapped chicken into the fridge to chill for about 30 mins.


6. Once 30 mins is up and your roll is firmly in place. Open up your wrap and prepare 3 plates (each ingredient on an individual plate) with the following:

  • 1 Cup of All-Purpose Flour (125g)
  • 2 Large Eggs, Beaten
  • 2 Cups of Bread Crumbs (100g)

7. Dredge the chicken first in flour, then followed by egg and finish with bread crumbs.


8. Place all the chicken on the tray in the turbo roaster and set the timer for 30-45mins with a temperature of 170 degree celsius. 

9. Check whether your chicken have turn to a golden brown. Once it have, your meal is ready to be served!


Mac & Cheese 

What we need:

  • 1 1/2 Cups of Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 1/2 Cup of Heavy Cream
  • 2-4 Cups of Milk
  • 8oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese/ Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon of Mustard
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder


1. Combine all the ingredients below into a mixing bowl and stir to combine them all

  • 1 1/2 Cups of Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 1/2 Cup of Heavy Cream
  • 2-4 Cups of Milk
  • 8oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese/ Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon of Mustard
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

2. Place all the stirred ingredients into the turbo roaster double glass and set 180 degree celsius for about 20 mins and leave it to cook.

3. Once it is done cooking, remove the turbo roaster lid and stir the mac & cheese. 

4. Plate the mac & cheese and leave it to cool for about 5-10mins. The mac & cheese will thicken while it cools.

5. Your meal is ready to be served!


French Fries

What we need:

  • 1 pound (454g) of potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) of Olive Oil
  • A pinch of Salt
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • A Pinch Grounded Black Pepper


1. Wash and peal the skin of all the potatoes.


2. Wash the potatoes and cut all the potatoes into french fries sizes. Try to keep them evenly sized as possible for even cooking.

3. Pour all the cut potatoes into a sauce pan and boil them for 5-10mins.

4. Drain the water from the potatoes and place them all into a mixing bowl and drizzle olive oil evenly over the fries. 

5. Then, sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper (and add garlic powder) evenly over the fries.

6. Gently toss the fries to even coat the fries with all the ingredients.

7. Pour the fries into the turbo roaster and spread them evenly over the double glass.

8. Cook the fries for about 18-25mins with a temperature of 190 degree celsius. About halfway through the cooking, remove the lid and use a tong to gently turn the fries. 

9. Optional: For crisper fries, gently turn it after it cooked and add another 2-5mins to cook.


10. Once it have been cooked, plate your french fries. Your meal is ready to be served!
