Pesto Lover!!!! Ever wonder what to make with pesto sauce from Sauce Lab? Well.... here is a 2021 compilation of all our pesto recipes. Some may seem familiar as we gave some in our foodtober blog post!

So let's start with appetizers before we rush into finger foods!!


Chicken Pesto Recipe:

What do you need?

For Chicken

  • 1 Pound/ 500g of boneless, skinless chicken breast 
  • Salt & pepper (for seasoning)
  • 2 Tablespoon Sauce Lab’s Basil Pesto
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups of Cherry Tomatoes, Halved (get the smallest pieces)


For Sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • ½ tablespoon of Sauce Lab’s Basil Pesto
  • 1 Cup of Evaporated Milk/ Condensed Milk
  • Salt and Pepper (a couple of pinches)
  • Freshly shaved Parmesan (for garnishing)


Let's Start!

1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, and mix it till the season well.

2. Then, rub Basil Pesto on the seasoned chicken.

3. Take a wok/ skillet and heat it with olive oil.

4. Add the chicken to the wok and cook it for 5 minutes on each side, or till it has been thoroughly cooked.

5. For the sauce, mix all the ingredients for the sauce provided above and whisk it thoroughly combined and set it aside.

6. Remove the chicken once it has been cooked onto a clean plate.

7. Use the remaining oil on the wok (if there is none, do add more olive oil), heat, and stir the tomatoes. Cook it over medium heat for a minute or till it begins to soften.

8. Add the prepared sauce to the wok and bring it to a boil.

9. Once the sauce has boiled, place the chicken back in the wok and cook it for 2-3 mins or till it has been thoroughly heated.

10. Turn off the heat and plate your meal. 

11. Garnish your meal with Parmesan cheese and your meal is ready to be served!


Fish Pesto Recipe:

What do you need?

For Fish

  • 2 Fish Fillet
  • Olive Oil (For cooking)
  • Pepper & Salt (For seasoning)


For Sauce

  • 2-3 Tablespoon Sauce Lab’s Basil Pesto (depends on the size of your fish)
  • 1 Tablespoon of nutmeg
  • 2 Cloves of Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon of Shredded Parmesan Cheese (and more for garnishing)


Let's Start!

1. Season the fish with salt and pepper

2. Heat the pan with olive oil and cook the fish for 3-5 mins on both sides or till it is thoroughly cooked.

3. Mix all the sauce ingredients and whisk it till it combines.

4. Plate your cooked fish and pour your sauce on top of your fish

5. Finish your meal with some Parmesan garnishing and your meal is served!


Vegetable Pesto Recipe:

What do you need?

  • Broccoli/ Cauliflower, Carrots
  • ⅓ Cup of Sauce Lab’s Basil Pesto
  • Salt (For seasoning)
  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese (For Garnishing)


Let's start!

1. Boil a pot of water till it boils.

2. Place your Vegetables and boil them accordingly.

Carrots- 6 to 8 minutes

Broccoli/ Cauliflower - 15 to 22 minutes

3. Plate your vegetables and add basil pesto sauce

4. Finish your meal with Parmesan garnishing and your meal is ready to be served!


Finger Food Pesto 

Easy Bacon Pesto & Cheese Bites


  • Bacon Slices
  • 2 Tbsp Basil Pesto
  • Small Cubes of Cheese
  • 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

The quantity of the ingredients depends on the person making how many they would like to make!!

1. preheat oven to 190 Degree Celsius

2. Place a piece of bacon slice on a board or tray. Spread a little Basil Pesto sauce on it.

3. Place a cheese cube on one end of the bacon slice and roll up the bacon to enclose the cheese and secure it with a toothpick.

Optional: You may add chicken cubes to have some meat to your meal!

4. Repeat the process till all your ingredients have been used up. 

5. Place all your bacon rolls on a tray and drizzle them with oil.

6. Bake, brushing bacon with pan juices halfway through cooking (add oil by brushing it halfway through) for 20 minutes or till the bacon is tender and golden brown. 

7. Leave it to cool for 5 minutes and serve it with extra basil pesto sauce. 


Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs


  • 1kg of Chicken, cut into cubes
  • Salt/ Mushroom Seasoning
  • Grounded Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil
  • 1 Can of Pineapple Slices
  • Bamboo Skewers
  • 1/3 Cup of Basil Pesto Sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp of Chopped Parley Leaves


1. Season the chicken with salt/ mushroom seasoning and black pepper.

2. Heat a skillet and add the oil. Pan-fry the chicken until they are nicely cooked and browned on the surface. Then remove and let it cool for 2-5mins.

3. Slice all the pineapple into cubes and start treading one piece of each ingredient. Add more till you are satisfied (Note not to overdo it). 

Ingredients:  Chicken and Pineapple (optional: Add Cheese Cubes and Cucumber slices)

4. Repeat the process till all your ingredients are used up.

5. Brush the Basil Pesto Sauce generously on the skewers of ingredients and garnish with parley 

6. Your meal is ready to be served!!
